Handmade Dishes – Must-Try Beef Soup Dumplings and Beef Noodles in Mi Niu, New Taipei Sanchong District

On my previous visit to Mi Niu, full of Chinese Cuisine, and the flavors left a lasting impression—especially the soup dumplings, which I absolutely loved. This time, before heading abroad, I brought my family along to relive the tender beef and rich broth.

**Location & Environment**

Mi Niu is conveniently located on a bustling street in Sanchong District. It’s just about a 10-minute walk from MRT Sanchong Elementary School Station. 

The interior is bright and clean, with soft blue-gray walls paired with minimalist wooden long tables, creating a relaxed dining atmosphere with a cozy, home-like feel.

Chili beef oil, pickled mustard greens, scallions, and chili are all available for self-service, so you can add as much as you like! Personally, I always load up on pickled mustard greens when eating beef noodles.

Side dishes from the fridge are self-serve and paid for at checkout.

Drizzled with a house-made sauce, the vegetables retain their crispness while absorbing a balanced mix of savory and slightly sweet flavors. The freshness of the greens and the richness of the sauce create a perfect harmony, making it hard to stop at just one bite.

Beef Trio Noodles (Clear Broth) – NT$220 ★★★★★

You can choose between braised or clear broth. The clear broth is light yet flavorful, carrying the natural sweetness and umami of beef bones. The soup is delicate and well-balanced. 

The dish features tender beef chunks, chewy beef tendon, and silky beef tripe The beef tendon’s bouncy texture and the tripe’s soft chewiness stand out. You can enhance the flavor with chili beef oil, and pickled mustard greens, which add an extra tangy and spicy dimension to the dish.

Beef Soup Dumplings (Pork & Cabbage Filling) – Braised Broth NT$90/8 pcs ★★★★★

A must-try classic! The braised broth is rich yet not overly greasy, carrying a mild spiciness and deep spice-infused aroma. 

The dumplings, filled with juicy pork and cabbage, have thin yet sturdy wrappers that soak up the flavorful broth, delivering a delightful blend of beef and pork aromas with every bite.

Dry Tossed Noodles – NT$60 ★★★★★

Topped with a generous portion of minced pork, the noodles are well-coated in sauce, giving them a smooth and flavorful taste. 

The dish is packed with rich meat aroma and a perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet notes. 

Scallion Salt Chicken Leg Rice – NT$120 ★★★★★

A delightful surprise! The chicken leg is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with its natural sweetness and savory chicken juices locked in. 

The scallion salt seasoning is well-balanced, enhancing but not overpowering the natural flavors of the chicken. 

Wonton Soup – NT$60 ★★★★★

The wonton wrappers are thin, smooth, and delicate, yet sturdy enough to hold the filling. The pork and vegetable filling is flavorful and well-balanced, with a natural sweetness. 

**Mi Niu – Frozen Products**

If you love the flavors here, you can also purchase their frozen food packs, available in clear broth, tomato, and braised broth varieties. Simply heat them up at home for a quick and delicious meal.

Bringing my family here this time was a great decision—everyone left fully satisfied and raved about every dish. Mi Niu never disappoints, offering new surprises with each visit. I’ll definitely be back for another taste of home when I return to Taiwan!
