Location & Transportation

Shishitei is hidden inside a small alley in the Ekkamai area, not on the main road. The easiest way to get here is by Grab or taxi—just pin the restaurant and walk a short distance from the alley entrance.

Being tucked away makes the place quiet and low-key, which fits perfectly with its luxury wagyu dining style. The interior is clean, calm, and very Japanese luxury—not flashy, but you can immediately tell this is a place that takes ingredients seriously.
What we ordered
A5 Sukiyaki Premium Loin Set ★★★★★

This was one of the highlights of the night—and the best part is that staff guide you through the whole process, so you don’t have to worry about overcooking anything.

Beef fat is used to oil the sukiyaki plate
Vegetables go in first, lightly grilled to bring out their natural sweetness

Sukiyaki sauce is added

A5 wagyu loin is grilled to medium-raw

Dip into egg liquid and enjoy. The moment you bite into the beef, you get this deep wagyu aroma, followed by a gentle, natural sweetness that lingers.
What I really loved is that the sauce isn’t overly salty—it blends with the wagyu fat and becomes incredibly well-balanced, not heavy at all.
This is exactly why I love A5 wagyu.
A5 Shabu Shabu Special Loin Set ★★★★★

Totally different experience, but just as impressive.

The wagyu slices are lightly swished in hot broth, and once they hit your mouth, the beef almost melts, releasing sweetness instead of grease.
The fat level is just right—enough to highlight the texture, but not overwhelming. It’s clean, elegant, and very satisfying.
Wagyu A5 Torotama Yukke ★★★★★

This one surprised me in the best way.
– Beat the egg and drizzle it over the wagyu
– Take a small portion and spread it on the crisp bread
The sweetness of the wagyu pairs beautifully with the fresh seafood, including the bold aroma of salmon roe and caviar.
You get softness from the beef, freshness from the seafood, and a crisp, toasty base from the bread. It’s like a land-meets-sea luxury bite, with layers of texture and flavor that actually make sense together.
Deep fried A5 Wagyu Beef Cutlet ★★★★★

Visually, it looks like a Japanese katsu—but inside, it’s all wagyu.
The crisp batter contrasts with the melting-soft meat, creating two completely opposite textures that somehow work perfectly together.
You get the aroma of fried crumbs, followed by the rich, juicy wagyu inside. Simple, but extremely satisfying.
Dessert – Ice Cream (Matcha & Vanilla) ★★★★★

To finish, ice cream is served. We chose matcha and vanilla—rich, smooth, and a perfect ending after a wagyu-focused meal.

If you’re traveling to Bangkok, Thailand, and you’re serious about wagyu, Shishitei is absolutely worth putting on your list. For us, as wagyu lovers, finding a place that serves A5 Kagoshima Kuroushi wagyu—and prepares it properly—made this meal feel genuinely special. It’s not loud, not trendy for the sake of being trendy—just a solid, luxury wagyu experience where the food does all the talking. If you love wagyu the way we do, this is the kind of place you’ll leave already planning your next visit.
