If you’re heading to Thailand and planning a stay in Bangkok, and you want a hotel that feels calm, functional, and quietly luxury, Sotetsu Grand Fresa Bangkok is one of those places that just makes traveling easier. Nothing feels overdone, but everything you actually need is there — and done well.

Location & Transportation

The location is honestly one of the biggest highlights. The hotel is located in the Asoke area, along Sukhumvit 25, tucked inside a quieter private alley while still being right in the middle of everything. It’s also only about a five-minute walk to both BTS Asok Station and MRT Sukhumvit Station, which makes getting around Bangkok extremely convenient.

Facilities

The lobby feels spacious and elegant, with a calm and upscale atmosphere. You can really tell it’s well managed.

There’s a free amenities kiosk in the lobby where you can pick up extra items like toothbrushes, skincare essentials, and more, depending on what you need.

Each floor has an ice machine and microwave, which is surprisingly useful.

On the eighth floor, there is a spacious gym, which is clean, modern, and comfortable.

And the rooftop swimming pool is a real highlight. Go in the early morning if you can — the city feels quieter, and the light up there is beautiful.

Sotetsu Grand Fresa Bangkok Grand Twin Room

We stayed in a Grand Twin Room, and it felt spacious, calm, and very well-organized. The layout is designed with function in mind, which makes it great for both short and long stays.

One standout feature is the SO-BI-SUI water purification system, which purifies water throughout the entire building — including sinks, showers, and toilets. The toilet and shower are separated, so the bathroom feels more practical and less cramped. It really focuses on livability.

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, and slippers are all provided, and everything feels clean, minimal, and thoughtfully arranged.

On top of that, every room is equipped with an air purifier, which is a small detail you’ll definitely appreciate after a full day out in Bangkok.

The room also comes with Simmons beds, a refrigerator, electric kettle, washing machine, microwave, and a secure safe box — which was perfect since we brought our laptops along in case clients needed to contact us.

Breakfast Buffet

Breakfast is served from 6:00 am to 10:00 am on the first floor at the hotel’s restaurant. The space is open and relaxing, making it a nice way to ease into the day.

The buffet offers a mix of Japanese, Thai, and Western dishes. You’ll find grilled fish, miso soup, fresh eggs cooked to order, Thai-style dishes, salads, fruit, bread, coffee, and a variety of drinks. There’s also a cute local Thai dessert that’s easy to miss but definitely worth trying.

I really like their freshly cooked Thai boat noodles and egg dishes, you can make your egg scrambled, omelette etc.

Sotetsu Grand Fresa Bangkok is a hotel that focuses on what really matters: location, comfort, and thoughtful systems that make traveling smoother. Between the prime Asoke location, the spacious and cozy Grand Twin Room, and features like full-building water purification and in-room air purifiers, it’s easy to feel settled here. If you’re looking for a Bangkok hotel that feels organized, reliable, and quietly luxurious — especially for longer stays — this is a place I’d genuinely recommend.
